Scope and Contents This collection includes a November 13, 1849 letter sent to John Milton Stanton of Dunlapsville, Union County, Indiana from W. Wright of Salem, Iowa. The letter has the heading "Romance of Real Life: A Tale of Iowa" and is a narrative of Wright's move to Iowa and his visit with a family who had moved there from Indiana in 1840.
