Scope and Contents The first part consists of letters written in 1943 about the War Bond Rally sponsored by Indiana public libaries. This event, called "Books for Bonds," was held at the Murat Theater on October 7, 1943. Indiana authors were invited to appear on stage as guests and speak to the audience.
