Scope and Contents This collection includes two account books for a sawmill containing entries ranging from 1880 to 1888. The most common entry is a charge for sawing or "use of mill" for assorted items and uses of lumber. Not only are the uses of the lumber regularly designated, but the entries under individual names will specify the amount of sawing in feet of lumber, the type of tree and wood cut, and the amount charged for use of the mill.
