Ephraim Lumis Ogden was born on March 12, 1821 in Franklin County, Indiana. He was issued a land grant for land in Jeffersonville, Indiana when he lived in Ripley County in 1848. Ogden died on April 13, 1897 in Decatur County, Indiana.
