Scope and Contents
This collection also includes photographs of the McDowell and Ingalls families; photographs of the Ingall's home "The Outcrop"; scrapbooks created by Osie Alice Ingalls for her grandchildren with photographs and memorabilia from family and the Ingalls Stone Company (ca. 1860s - 1980); and a large scrapbook with correspondence, legal documents, receipts, and newspaper clippings about the Ingalls Stone Company. The company scrapbook also includes photographs of Ingalls family members, the plant in Binghamton, New York, the mill in Cassville, Missouri, and company employees (circa 1890s-1972).

Biographical Note
Robert Ingalls was born on November 29, 1902 in Binghamton. He married Osie Alice McDowell on January 17, 1926. Osie Alice was born on December 10, 1901 in Oolitic, Indiana to Gurney and Iva McDowell. Their one child, Robert Jr., was born on June 8, 1930. Robert Sr. graduated from Culver Military Academy (Culver, Indiana) in 1921 and began working for his father's company. At the death of his brother Lewis in 1944, he became the president of the Ingalls Stone Company and sole owner in 1960. In 1968, Robert Jr. became president of the company and Robert Sr. became chairman of the board. Both Robert Sr. and Osie Alice were active in the Masonic Lodge. He died on September 7, 1978. Their son, Robert Jr. passed away on August 16, 2008.
After several years of widowhood, Alice married John Wallace Clark on September 19, 1983. Wallace was born on September 2, 1901 at Indianapolis to John and Sarah Clark. He was a graduate of Occidental College and was an inventor and developer of well drilling equipment. He was best known for inventing the Dyna Drill, an oil well drill that changed directions as it bored. Osie Alice passed away on November 8, 1988 and Wallace on December 2, 1997.
