Biographical Note
Mary Hughes Martin was born on September 27, 1872 in Vermillion County, Indiana. Her parents were Elmond Hughes and Martha Ann Stutler Hughes. Mary married Harry E. Martin on April 3, 1898 in Vermillion County. They had three children: Leonne Margaret, Cassie L., and Hollie. She died on March 5, 1938 and is buried in Hopewell Cemetery in Rileysburg, Indiana.
