Wilfrid J. Ullrich papers
Scope and Contents
The collection also has correspondence and documents from the Public Assess To Governmental Decision Making Process Interim Study Committee (1976) responsible for drafting an Indiana Open Door or "Sunshine" law (1976) and from the Senate Public Health Committee regarding H.B. 1405 and the hearings that were held in March 1977. Testimony in support of H.B. 1405 was heard at the hearing on the 15th and testimony from those opposed to the bill were heard on the 22nd. The "Treat Cancer with Science not Emotion!" documents contain the information presented by the speakers opposed to the legalization of Laetrile. Though the majority of the correspondence received by Ullrich was in support of H.B. 1405, he was one four state senators who voted against it.
