This collection includes 3 photographs, possibly from Thomas Krasean, in Guilford, Indiana in 1966 depicting Loebo Ewbank at his home. Two photographs show Ewbank in front of the house while the third shows him with Tom Krasean from the Indiana State Library in his attic.

Biographical Note

Loebo John Ewbank (sometimes spelled Eubank) was born to John William (1835) and Betsie (Blasdel) Ewbank (1837-1899) on November 24, 1879 in Dearborn County, Indiana. He had several siblings, including Ralph Collier (1861-1934), Nellie Adelia (1863-1927), Louis Blasdel (1864-1953), Richard Lazenby (1865-1947), Elizabeth F. (1868-1958), Annie Melissa (1871-1904), Louisa E. (1872-1943), Nina J. (1874-1905), and James Henry (1875-1961). Most notably, his brother, Judge Louis B. Ewbank, was a justice of the Indiana Supreme Court. Loebo Ewbank worked as a farmer in Dearnborn County until he was unable to continue. Ewbank died on December 23, 1970 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and was buried at East Fork Stone Chapel Cemetery in Guilford. Sources:
