Biographical / Historical

The Indiana Handle Company was a small baseball bat manufacturer in Paoli, Indiana. Initiall, the company received their big break supplying military units with bats during the Second World War. As the wood they used was too heavy for Major League Baseball, the Indiana Handle Company's bats served as an entertainment bat for things like automatic batting cages and youth sports. However, as aluminum bats grew in popularity with little leagues around the U.S., the Indiana Handle Company diversified into a number of household products and even helped create the wooden handle for the Olympic Torch for the 1996 Summer Games in Atlanta, Georgia. They specialized in in custom wooden products, mostly furniture, as of 2004.
