Historical Note
The Blackford County Civil War Renenactment Club, Inc. is an educational non-profit organization located in Hartford City, Indiana. Orville and Robert Uggen, founders of the club, planned the first Civil War reenactment in 1990 with the goal of showing what it was like for families and soldiers who lived and fought during the U.S. Civil War and to pay respect to those who died. Since that first event, the annual Hartford City Civil War Days has become Indiana's largest Civil War reenactment.
