Historical Note
In 1929, Indiana Future Farmers of America (FFA) was founded as a youth organization for farm boys. Over the years it has grown into an organization that offers all high school-aged students opportunities to develop leadership and problem-solving skills and also the chance to explore career opportunities. The Plainfield (Indiana) High School Chapter of FFA was organized in the fall of 1938 and received its charter on May 4, 1939. Called the White Lick Valley Chapter, it was an active school group during the 1940s and and 1950s.
