Historical Note
The Second World War lasted from 1939 until 1945. Many countries were involved and joined one of two sides: Allies or Axis. The United States entered the war after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, Hawaii in December 1941. Around 338,000 men from Indiana fought in World War II.
