This collection includes genealogy research documents and notes, correspondence, stock certificates, an estate document, photographs, and photograph albums, from the Reeder, Miles, Ploch, and Poynter families in Indianapolis and other places in Indiana and the United States, ranging from 1884 to 1958 and undated, regarding the families and their history.
There is also a folder of oversize materials: a marriage certificate for Carl A. Ploch and Maude L. Poynter on June 12, 1912; a marriage certificate for John Miles Reeder and Virginia Ann Ploch dated October 24, 1937; a diploma for Carl A. Ploch from Manual Training High School in Indianapolis on June 8, 1903; and an undated family tree chart showing John M. and Virginia A. (Ploch) Reeder's lineage (OBC099).

Biographical Note
John Miles Reeder was born on September 22, 1911 to John Clifford (1868-1933) and Nettie (Miles) Reeder (1876-1933) in Indiana. He married Virginia Ann Ploch (1913-1981), daughter of Charles A. and Maude (Poynter) Ploch, on October 24, 1937 in Indianapolis and they had a son, James Edward (1941-1991). Reeder died in 1979 and was buried in Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
