Biographical / Historical

Dime museums were popular in the United States from the late 19th century to the early twentieth century and often displayed curiosities, oddities, and featured people who were "different" that the masses saw as "freaks". Similar to or featured alongside circuses and sideshows, dime museums were cheap entertainment for the working class.
