Biographical / Historical
David Dale Owen was a prominent 19th century geologist who lived in New Harmony, Indiana. He died November 13, 1860 and his brother, Richard Owen, and administrator of his estate offered up his belongings and collections in an estate sale held February 28, 1861. Both were sons of Robert Owen.
