By the end of their first decade as an Indiana organization, the Knights of Columbus had a total of 48 Councils and 7,200 members. Following World War II, an expansion period occurred and membership jumped to 2,300 with 69 councils. Currently, the organization has 186 Councils and over 33,000 members.
