Scope and Contents

This collection includes a ledger used by a sawmill and lumber business located in Blackford County, Indiana. Ranging from 1882 to 1888, the entries record amounts of wood cut in feet, sometimes types of trees and woods, the uses to which the lumber was to put, and the amount charged for the use of the mill. Occasional references are made to services rendered. The collection also includes an 1887-1888 price list pamphlet from the Patent Metallic Weather Strip Company of New York that has illustrations of its single edge and cushion weather strips.
