Scope and Contents
This collection includes two account books kept by William Forsyth in 1852 and 1853. The account books log various materials and money related to those items on a daily basis. The logs imply that Forsyth traveled for his business as the top of each page lists different cities, the main ones being Cincinnati and Indianapolis. They also contain doodles and writings presumably made by William Forsyth. One of the log books also contains a series of newspaper clippings on a wide assortment of topics, including medical cures, world history, poetry, home recipes, etc.
