Scope and Contents

This collection includes programs, photographs, and papers from Luster Kleinknight ranging from 1877 to 1949 regarding his early life, high school, Purdue University and his study of engineer, the Triangle Fraternity, Field Artillery Central Officers Training School (F.A.C.O.T.S.) at Camp Zachary Taylor, travel, and social functions. Included is a great deal of ephemera, theatre, orchestra, and other entertainment programs, as well as tickets for events and transportation, photographs, invitations, greeting cards, dance cards, receipts, and writings by Henry G. Wanty of Michigan.

Biographical Note

Luster Ray "Bus" Kleinknight was born on December 21, 1896 in Wells County, Indiana. He graduated from Tocsin High in 1913 and Bluffton High in 1914. He attended Purdue University from 1914 to 1918. After college, he graduated from Field Artillery Central Officers Training School at Camp Zachary Taylor, Kentucky. He lived in several towns throughout Indiana, as well as Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Washington D.C. He passed away in 1977 in Los Angeles, California.
