Historical Note
The United States Army 30th Infantry had two prior iterations before its final formation - first during the War of 1812, second during the American Civil War. It was finally and permanently reconstituted during 1899-1901 for the Philippine-American War. The 30th Infantry has since served in World War I, World War II, and United States military endeavors in the Middle East in the early 2000s.
