Charles Kettleborough, Glacier National Park journal
Collection — Volume: V056
Identifier: V056
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of one journal that chronicles two trips made by Charles Kettleborough through Glacier National Park. The first trip lasted from July 16 to July 31st, 1921 and he covers this trip in the first 81 pages of the journal. He records his daily movements, including hand drawn maps of his travels, post cards and images from brochures about his travels, a list of the items he took with him, a list of costs incurred and material from the trains that he took from Indianapolis to Glacier National Park. The second journal is similarly written and chronicles his journey from July to August of 1923. The second journal also includes a diary of his daily activities with images from pamphlets, brochures and other resources. However, this second journal does not include maps (except at the very end) nor does it include all of the lists that we saw in the earlier journal. He only includes a list of distance traveled and expenses. This second journal is only 45 pages long. In both journals he writes extensively on where he went and who/what he saw along the way.
