Biographical Note
Mary Lavinia Robinson was born on August 22, 1864 in Lebanon, Indiana. She married Al Lane in 1885 and had a daughter, Fern in 1889 who died at the age of five. Around 1900, the couple moved to Indianapolis, where Mary was involved in several literary clubs. Robinson moved back to Lebanon in 1912 to tend to her mother, then moved back to Indianapolis where she passed away in 1913.
