Biographical Note
Greenbury Clark (G.C.) Hanson was born on December 31, 1825 in Fayette County, Indiana to Benjamin Hollis and Jane Newland Hanson. He married Ossie C. Ward on October 17, 1867 and they had one son. He was a prosperous farmer and was a stockholder in the Indiana Furniture Company and the Farmers and Merchants Trust Company. He passed away at the age of 78 on January 16, 1904.
Francis Asberry (F.A.) Hanson was G.C.’s younger brother. He was born on the family homestead on October 8, 1828. He married Cynthia T. Boyd on October 16, 1855 and they had two sons. Like his brother, he was a farmer and successful business man. He passed away at the age of 57 on January 31, 1886.
