Historical Note

President Bill Clinton and Vice-President Al Gore went on a campaign tour across several states following along I-64 to drum up support from voters when they were still the Democratic candidates in the summer of 1992. They stopped in Evansville, Indiana and were greeted by crowds of supporters on July 21, 1992, before heading on to their "finale rally" in St. Louis, Missouri.

Weeks before the November election, Senator Al Gore appeared at a Democratic campaign rally attended by about 8,000 people at the Indiana Fair Grounds on October 15, 1992 in Indianapolis, Indiana, with Indiana Governor Evan Bayh and Secretary of State Joe Hogsett.
