Historical Note

Adams Mill is a grist mill, which produced numerous grades of flours for more than a century. The mill was constructed by John Adams on Wildcat Creek in Carroll Coutny, Indiana in 1845. Although commercial milling stopped in 1951, the original machinery still exists and was operational until a flood in 2003. Since its purchase in 2011, the mill and the surrounding 10-acre park has been owned and operated by a non-profit organization called Adams Mill Inc. In 2013, the adjacent Oxbow Natural Area was gifted to the organization, adding 70 acres.
