Biographical Note
Henry C. Marsh was a farmer near Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana. Marsh served as a private and hospital steward in the 19th and 20th Indiana regiments, serving in Virginia and Maryland (1861-1865). Following the Civil War, Marsh worked as the Muncie postmaster (1866-1875), and was active in the Grand Army of the Republic and other veteran organizations.
