Biographical Note
Marilyn Virgene Rock was born on March 12, 1928 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Robert and Marie "Nettie" Rock. She graduated from Shortridge High School in 1946 and was a 1948 graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. She married Ronald Scherrer on June 6, 1950 and they had four children: Steve, Mike, Connie, and Susie.
