Biographical Note
Edward Doyle (born ca. 1826), a native of Ireland, emigrated to New Orleans on October 15, 1847, and resided in Louisiana until he applied for naturalization on October 26, 1852. Edward Doyle married Mary (Kilslee) Doyle on October 20, 1850. They had one daughter, Mary Doyle. On February 22, 1865, Edward Doyle was enrolled as a private in Company K of the 150th Regiment of Indiana Volunteers at Lafayette, Indiana. He was mustered into service on February 27, 1865; he was mustered out on August 5, 1865, at Stevenson Station, Virginia.
