Biographical Note

Francis Marion Leavell was born in Miami County, Ohio on February 25, 1834. During the Civil War, he served in Company G of the 73rd Regiment of Indiana Volunteers under the command of Colonel Straight. Leavell was mustered out on July 1, 1865. He died in Fulton, Indiana on December 14, 1899.
