Administrative History
The Indiana Association of Accredited Flower Show Judges was organized in Indianapolis, Indiana following the Flower Show School held in February 1949. Mrs. John Downing of Mooresville, Indiana, President of the Garden Club of Indiana from 1947-1949, presided at the meeting. Mrs. Thomas Ayton of Indianapolis, Indiana and Mrs. Chester Steed of Red Key, Indiana were elected president and secretary-treasurer. Thirty Garden Club members who were nationally Accredited Flower Show Judges signed the membership roster at the meeting.
