Scope and Contents
The collection contains one 4"x 6" campaign card from Frank C. Dailey’s 1928 run for the office of governor of Indiana. The text is headed: “Are you really serious when you say: ‘I’d Like to See a New Deal’?” To the left side of the text is a photo of Dailey. On the opposite side of the car appear the words in a printed reproduction of handwriting: “Memo to the PEOPLE. – I’ll try to be a good employee – Frank. C. Dailey.”

Biographical Note
Frank Coffroth Dailey was born in Bluffton, Indiana on December 22, 1870. Dailey was the co-founder of the Bluffton Evening News, which he sold before entering Indiana University, graduating in 1894. He married Edna Field of Bloomington, and had two sons: George S. and Field T. Dailey. Dailey moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1914 as an Assistant U.S. District Attorney appointed by Woodrow Wilson. He was the Democratic candidate for Indiana governor in 1928. Dailey practiced law until the age of 88 and died on June 29, 1964, in Indianapolis.
