Historical Note

The Wabash General Association of Detective Companies was started in 1860 and was a collection of smaller companies associated with the National Horse Thief Detective Association, a vigilante group in Indiana. The Wabash General Association of Detective Companies were focused on horse stealing, rural crimes, and private investigation in the late 1800s.
