Biographical Note
Willis W. Thornburg was born in Marshall County in Indiana in 1874, the son of Harvey and Mary Jane (Rodgers) Thornburg. He lived in Rutland, Indiana until the 1890s, when he joined the Railway Mail Service. He later lived in Portland, Indiana. He married Kathryn Thornburg in 1899. THornburg passed away in 1962.
