Biographical Note

Albert Joseph Corsi was born on May 12th, 1911, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Aniello and Carmela Corsi. He went to Earlham College and from an early age, planned to enter the printing trade. After school, however, he joined the U.S. Navy during World War II. Corsi rose to the rank of lieutenant commander and was given command of two vessels during his serice across six campaigns including the Normandy invasion, North Africa, Anzio, Salerno, and Bizerte. During his time with the navy, Corsi was wounded seriously multiple times, and earned the Purple Heart, the Silver Cross, and the Navy Cross. He later returned home to open his own printing business in 1949. Corsi married Betty Anne McDonald and they had one son, Michael. He pdied on May 5, 1955.
