This collection includes a variety of items regarding the Indiana State Medical Association Centennial Convention that took place in Indianapolis on September 26, 27, 28, and 29, 1949. The collection includes an official invitation; several flyers with information about different programs and entertainment to be offered at the convention; programs for the "Surgical and Clinical Program" televised by the Indiana University School of Medicine; programs from the Centennial Banquet; two official programs for the 100th annual session; handbooks for the House of Delegates of the Association; and lists of all members who registered during the annual session.

Historical Note
The Indiana State Medical Association (ISMA) has been educating physicians regarding scientific and clinical developments in medicine since 1849. The association is a federation fo county and district medical societies and has a mission to help doctors "provide the best possible health care for their patients." The organization is an advocate for Indiana's physicians and works to influence state policy concerning health care issues.
