Biographical Note

Dennis Noble Ratts was born on July 15, 1918 in Morgan County, Indiana, to Perry and Zelma Ratts. He attended Eminance High School in Eminance, Indiana and was a member of the Eminance Masonic Lodge. Ratts served as a colonel in the military during World War II. After the war, he returned home to run a John Deere store until he became a member of the State and National Association of Auctioneers. His career as an auctioneer lasted 40 years. Ratts married Hester Frances Denny on February 4, 1939. He died on Janurary 12, 2000.
