Biographical / Historical

Clyde Edward Applegate was born July 14, 1903 in Jackson County, Indiana to Dr. Charles R. and Florence Applegate. A 1924 graduate of New Castle High School, he worked for the Goodwin Clothing Company for two years before becoming a traveling salesman for the Hoosier Manufacturing Company. He passed away at the age of 23 on July 8, 1927.
