Scope and Contents

This collection includes correspondence, product brochures, price lists, quotations, requisitions, and other documents ranging from 1967 to 1970 sent and received by Allan E. Witt, a manager of the automotive trim division of the Plastic Coating Corporation in Indianapolis, Indiana. The bulk of the material in the collection came from the Union Tool Corporation of Warsaw, Indiana, but there is also advertisements for the Gottscho Rolaprinter, Potdevin Machine Company's edge coater and paper bag machines, USM Corporation's Thermogrip adhesive, Veeder-Root's photoelectric counter, and the Graco standard series Powerflow Pump.

Biographical / Historical

The Plastic Coating Corporation of Holyoke, Massachusetts was acquired by Scott Paper Company in 1965. Its Indianapolis facility was located at 900 West Wabash and the manager of manufacturing for the automotive trim division was Allan E. Witt. In 1969 the company purchased machinery from the Union Tool Corporation of Warsaw, Indiana, a manufacturer of roller coaters and laminators.
