Biographical / Historical
Wabash College is a private, independent, four-year liberal arts college located in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Founded on November 21, 1832, the first trustees decided, "that the institution be at first a classical and English high school, rising into a college as soon as the wants of the country demand." Caleb Mills was the first faculty member and declared the aims of the college to be learning, virtue, and service. Wabash remains one of three traditional, all-male liberal arts colleges in the country.
