The Postal Service Magazine collection
Collection — Folder: S2626
Identifier: S2626
Scope and Contents
This collection includes two items related to The Postal Service Magazine in the United States in 1909. The smaller item is a pasted mock-up of volume 1, number 1 of The Postal Service Magazine . In the 60 pages of the mock-up, actual photographs and artwork have been mounted to the pages along with pencil and ink notations concerning what is intended to fill the open spaces of the mock-up. Titles of articles and regular features (e.g., "Who's Who in the Postal Service") are part of these notations. Photographs found in the mock-up include the interior and exterior of the Federal Courthouse bounded by Meridian, New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio streets in Indianapolis. The larger item is a review of The Postal Service Magazine, which appeared in the March 1909 issue of The Railway Post Office after the first two issues of The Postal Service Magazine had been released.
