This collection contains records from Dr. Lawrence A. Johnson's medical practices in Indiana and includes loose pages from an account book for his practice at Rossville in Clinton County (1837-1838) and his account book from his Hendricks County practice at Belleville (1846-1848). The collection also includes miscellaneous newspaper clipping (1850-1858, undated) and a pressed flower.

Biographical / Historical
Lawrence Alfred Johnson was born on October 9, 1806 in New Jersey to David and Elizabeth Johnson. He moved to Indiana and married Edith Roll in Marion County on August 28, 1834. Following Edith's death, he married Almina Hannah Dane in Hendricks County on October 5, 1846. He was a physician and had practices at Rossville and Belleville. He passed away at the age of 64 on May 7, 1871.
