This collection contains clippings of articles from local newspapers ranging from 1895 to 1909 regarding various activities and social events that O. Roy Norris attended. The bulk of the clippings are secured in a small ledger that was used as a scrapbook.

Biographical Note

O. Roy Norris was born on September 1, 1879 in Richland Township, Whitley County, Indiana to George and Caroline Norris. He worked as a drug clerk for his cousin Fred Norris at the W.F. Norris drugstore in South Whitley. He was a popular and well respected member of the South Whitley community and was a member of the Masons, Odd Fellows and the Knight of Pythias lodges. He died of scarlet fever at the age of 31 on January 21, 1911.
