Johnson, Fraternal Order of Eagles and St. John Auxiliary in Washington, D.C., German or Switzerland and Vincennes, Indiana ranging from 1911 to 1962 regarding military service, family business, social organizations and a birthday greeting thank you.

Biographical Note
Henry Paul [Polheinreich] Aubry [Aubrey] was born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 21, 1875, the son of Swiss immigrants, Eugene and Annette Aubry. Around age 23, Aubry moved west to Indiana, settling in Vincennes in Knox County, where he found work as a foreman. He served in the Spanish American War from April through Nov., 1898.
Aubry’s future wife, Mary Grace Delisle, was born in Indiana on September 15, 1875, the daughter of August and Fanney [Fannie] Delisle; she had a younger brother. She worked as a sales woman at a local dry goods store.
The Aubrys were married on June 25, 1907 in St. Francis Xavier, Vincennes, Indiana. Together they had two children; Norris and Aileen. Paul Aubry died in Vincennes between 1920 and 1930. Grace Aubry died in October 1967 and is buried in the Vincennes City Cemetery, Vincennes, Indiana.
