Historical Note

In 1946, Jack Rehme and Bob Waggener opened a furniture manufacturing company in Homer, Rush County, Indiana. The men were co-owners of the Rushcraft Shops, a local furniture design, sales, and production organization. Rehme later left the company and it continued with Bob and his wife, Emy. In 1950, the Waggoners opened a salesroom in Homer called "The Sampler" featuring cherry furniture, woodenware, old prints and other American reproduction items. As of 2022, the business still operates in Homer and specializes in handmade cherry furniture and woodenware.
