Biographical Note

Albert W. Wishard (1854-1917) was born in Greenwood, Indiana to Dr. Willliam Henry and Harriet (Moreland) Wishard. Albert graduated from Wabash College in 1876, and was admitted to the bar in 1878. A Republican, Wishard was elected to the Indiana State Senate in 1893 and 1895. From 1897-1901 he was appointed U.S. District Attorney by President McKinley.
