Biographical Note=
Alfred Roberts Winter was born on May 30, 1811, to Alpheus and Sally (Roberts) Winter in Springfield, MA. Alfred married Cornelia Payne, Dec. 21, 1835, in Laporte, IN. Winter died Jan 15, 1857 in Calumet, Lake County, IN.
