This collection includes funeral announcements and a written account of the funeral of of Minnie A. Trueblood in 1899, from various sources in Indiana ranging from 1843 to 1936 regarding the deaths of Hoosiers.

Historical Note

This collection includes various funeral announcements from 1843-1936 of persons burried in Indiana, including General Hyacinthe Lasselle, the first white man born at the Ke-ki-ong-a, and Hon. Oliver H. Smith, a United States Representative and Senator from Indiana. Also included is an account of the funeral service of Minnie A. Trueblood in 1899, a respectable woman of Kokomo, which shows the respect shown to a female of the time as well as how services were conducted.
