This collection consists of a Quincy (Illinois) High School report card for Bettie Dunn. The report card includes monthly school marks from November 1898 to June 1899 regarding her Cicero, physics, literature and rhetoricals courses and lists her class ranking and half-days absent. The reverse side of the grade card includes the signature of her father, T.H. [Temple Hawkins] Dunn.

Biographical Note

Bettie Dunn was born January 13, 1877 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Temple H. and Marcia (Hollcroft) Dunn. Her father was a teacher and public school superintendent and she spent her early years in Crawfordsville, Indiana and Quincy, Illinois before moving with her family to Alton, Indiana. In 1906, she married Dr. Thomas Clyde Emmick and they had 3 children. Following her marriage, she lived in Mt. Vernon, Indiana and passed away there at the age of 68 on July 18, 1945.
