Biographical Note

John W. Carr came to Indiana in 1846, first taking residence in Johnson County. He moved to Howard County in 1851. Dr. Garr was a physician-surgeon and a farmer. He was married and had five children: Mary, James O., Leonard, John C., and Sally.
