Biographical / Historical

Formerly known as the Indiana State Prison South, the Indiana Reformatory was located in Jeffersonville, Indiana before it was significantly damaged by fire in 1918. In 1921, the Indiana Legislature passed a bill to relocate the facility to Pendleton, Indiana.

The Republican ticket for the Presidential election in 1888 included Benjamin Harrison and in Kansas, the gubernatorial candidate was Lyman U. Humphrey.
